Our Journey from Colton to Corona
Shalom and Blessings!
Beth Shalom began as a home fellowship in 1987. Originally called Shalom Fellowship (lead by Bill and Nancy Rothschild), the fellowship met vital spiritual needs within the Messianic Jewish Community in Southern California. The early years were in Colton, a small city east of Los Angeles. By God's grace, an amazing opportunity arose to purchase our own property in Corona, California. Ironically, this particular building was planned and developed by a Conservative Jewish Community named Congregation Beth Sholom.
Taking a Step of Faith
By faith Rabbi Rene and Rabbi Robert made an offer in 2012 to purchase the property and the rest is history! We believe this property was destined for our community. We hope to be an example and a catalyst to the surrounding Jewish community of Corona and beyond for Messiah's sake. The following passage from Numbers 13:30 has been our source of strength, allowing our congregation to move forward by faith: "Then Caleb silenced the people before Moses and said, "We should go up and take possession of the land, for we can certainly do it."
The Next Step
Now we have been in our building for over 10 years. We endeavor to raise the funds necessary for our current mortgage and begin preparations for our second phase. By faith, we stepped out and took hold of God's promises in the spirit of Joshua and Caleb. By faith, we trust you will be able to contribute to furthering God's kingdom within the Messianic Jewish movement. Thank you for contributing and blessing us in such a time as this.
